The Town of Matthews is seeking public input on revisions to the Downtown Master Plan and the Land Use Plan. A drop-in public meeting will be held from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on August 30 at Matthews Town Hall.
The public is invited to drop-in and give their comments on the revised plans. The plans answer questions the public may have such as: What could Matthews do to improve downtown? What type of architecture should new buildings embrace? What amenities would you like to see in downtown? (grocery store, movie theater, entertainment, parks, etc.) Outside of downtown, what areas or developments in Matthews help to define the Town character, and why? In your opinion, what kind of development does Matthews currently have too much of? Where do most of the traffic problems occur in town?
This informal meeting will give staff time to interact one-on-one with the public on how these plans address these questions and receive additional input from the public.
