The Matthews Police Department is pleased to announce that they will once again be hosting a K-9 training seminar sponsored by the National Police Bloodhound Association.  This training will take place from Sunday, October 21, 2018, through Thursday, October 25, 2018.  There will be up to 45 K-9 handlers, and their bloodhounds from all over the country participating in this training.

This specialized training will cover different tracking scenarios in the Matthews and Charlotte area.  We are asking everyone to please keep this in mind and to not be alarmed if you see several Officers and K-9’s in our area with differently marked police vehicles and uniforms than what you’re used to during these scheduled training days.

If you have any questions regarding this training, please contact Officer Kevin Osuch at: 704.618.3053 or kosuch@matthewsnc.gov
