While there are some restrictions of use, our policy will require that officers activate the camera during all interactions with citizens where the report or investigation of criminal offenses occurs. The videos captured by these and our mobile (in-car) cameras will be managed and retained pursuant to NC state law. In general, any video that contains criminal investigative materials or that which is subject to personnel law will not be released without direction from the courts.
